Under the title “Roll-out of electric mobility in times of trade wars“, the 20th “Car Symposium” on 12 February 2020 at the RuhrCongress Bochum was marked by massive changes in the industry. The interaction of top speakers, experts and specialists from industry and research made the automobile congress unique. With over 1200 participants, more than 100 partner companies and over 70 technical contributions from various specialists, the Car Symposium is one of the largest industry meetings for managers, decision-makers and research institutions.

This year QASS was again represented with its own stand and a technical contribution. With the title “Sensor fusion for monitoring production and transfer in e-vehicles – state of the art today and tomorrow“, Mr. Sören Barteldes (Technical Manager) reported on the challenges that will be faced by measuring instrument manufacturers in the future. In particular, these will occur in the coming roll-out phase of electromobility and in the already ongoing digitalization, and will also have an impact on production itself. Here we are working on making production tangible through sensor technology. As a manufacturer of measuring instruments, we are working at precisely this interface within the framework of digitization and are facing the task of how to make production processes tangible through extensive sensorization.

On the second day at Car Connects, we showed students, graduates and young professionals the professional opportunities we offer.
