The HeatTreatmentCongress in Cologne is the place to go in Europe for companies and professionals in the sector of heat treatment. QASS, too, is part of this value added chain with highly developed measuring systems for crack detection and process optimization.
QASS supports the convention as a sponsor and provides the cover picture, showing a straightening machine with the HFIM-depiction of a crack in the background, which occurred during the straightening process of a component. HFIM stands for high-frequency-impulse-measurement and is the physical basis of the sophisticated crack detection system Optimizer4D-CiS.02.
Qass experts give lectures at the HeatTreatmentCongress
We look forward to discussing the main topics of this year with you. The emphasis is, among others, on crack initiation and detection, in-mould hardening, and material properties. All topics which are core competencies of QASS.
Therefore, we will give two lectures at the HeatTreatmentCongress:
Ulrich Seuthe, CEO, gives a lecture on “Risserkennung 4.0 (Crack Detection 4.0)” in the context of big data analyses and cognitive measuring methods. (Thursday, 27th October, 13:30 o’clock)
Sören Barteldes, project manager of the research & development department, will introduce a game-changing approach to analysis in-mould hardening processes in real-time. (Friday, 28th October, 11:10 o’clock)
Micro-magnetic measuring processes by QASS identify hardness of components
We especially look forward to showing our latest achievement: a micro-magnetic measuring process to identify the hardness of workpieces, material samples, or other components in real-time. Nondestructive and in-process.
Crack detection system CiS.01 will be discontinued
The QASS crack detection system CiS.01 has been a workhorse in many industrial production processes for years. Despite its success we will discontinue the production of the system within 2017, since it has become increasingly difficult to get the necessary parts for its production.
Therefore, we are glad, that we were able to find a more advanced and 100 % compatible successor in the new crack detection system Optimizer4D-CiS.02. The Optimizer4D-CiS.02 can not only replace the CiS.01 but also surpass it in many aspects. We will gladly inform you about the system and advise you on the exchange.
