QASS µmagnetic – Non-Destructive Hardness Testing using Barkhausen Noise

In the early 20th century Barkhausen noise was dicovered by the German physicist Heinrich Georg Barkhausen. Barkhausen noise is an effect that is only observable in ferromagnetic materials. QASS uses it to determine the mechanical hardness of materials.
