The problem
During bending and straightening of hardened steel shafts, some components crack. Some cracks close at the surface. Thus they are invisible for subsequent test methods.
The idea
If a component cracks, it emits a characteristic signal. With the new acoustic emission analysis HFIM, a highly selective Crack Detection becomes possible.
